It all started on
October 19th 2002. At the Watford Temple I was doing my bit
at my sisters wedding not knowing that my future husband was standing
right opposite me. As the day went on and Ajay managed to talk to me a
few times, not saying much just hello how are you and what would I get
If I got my brother-in-laws shoes (you know the shoe game). That
evening the reception party was held and again Ajay managed to catch my
attention by talking to me about shoes (I had no clue where this was
leading). We all partied and boogied down, at the end of the evening we
were saying our goodbyes and Ajay was just about to ask me for my number
when 2 of my cousins interrupted unknowingly with “can you drive us home
as we are drunk” Sadly Ajay went home with no number. Two weeks later
I received a phone call from a mutual friend asking if I would give my
number to someone from the reception who was interested in me. I was
really flattered and said yes as I like making friends, not thinking
that he would end up being my partner for life.
We
got talking over the phone everyday, which was really pleasant as we got
on like a house on fire. Days passed then weeks turned into a month
when Ajay finally plucked up the courage to ask me to go watch a film, I
accepted but only if we could go after I had been to the gym. We went
to watch “James Bond 007” Our time together begun here.
As time went on
one month turned into two and then three faster then we even knew. On
June 28th 2003 Ajay took me to the Watford temple saying that
we had not been to pray for some time, I happily obliged. Little did I
know when I got there Ajay surprised me with a boxed red rose. On this
rose was a ring, which he took from the rose & proposed to me with…
We were married
on Friday 30th
July 2004, at the Hare Krishna temple, the place we met &
where Ajay proposed.
